All-a-Flutter

So I went on a field trip to a butterfly farm. I didn't even know you could farm Butterflies. :) Actually it was pretty neat. A girl gave us a spiel all about their anatomy,(did you know their ears are on their knees?), and their life cycle. Then we went into the butterfly hut and all the kids got little pads soaked with sugar water. The butterflies love it and so they landed on the kids hands. It was pretty cool and Tyler really got a kick out of it.

I work for NASA!

I was looking through some old
pics and this is what I found.
Do you think there's a family resemblance? Personally I think I'm an undercover agent for NASA, working in the cloning dept. I mean really, could Arthur and Reid look anymore alike at the same age?!

Not too bad!

So I got ambitious and decided take a cake decorating course. I've wanted to forever, and finally did it. My first cake was small and cute with polka-dots allover it. The wolves ate it before I could get pictures. As it happened both of my grandmothers had birthdays during this course. So instead of gifts, (and me being stuck with lots of cake, like I need that), they got homemade birthday cakes decorated just for them. Grandma's was heart shaped and had purple drop flowers with a sparkly glitter all over it. Mema's had flower pots with all different colors pots and blooms. I don't think you can see in the picture but Ella Grace got into Mema's cake while our backs were turned. When we caught her she looked at us with a green mouth and the cake uncovered between her legs and asked for a plate. So I guess that's a compliment.

What are you Thinking?

This is the look I got the first time we tried cereal with a spoon? I think it says it all!

Time Flies

I can't believe that Reidy-poo is 5 months old already. You'd never know that he was a preemie. He's a "Hoss" now. He's 18 lbs. and chubby. He's so snugly and really giggly. I've never seen a baby be so giggly. He loves to laugh and Tyler told me today that his eyes "sparkle". Those boys adore him. Arthur has really been attentive to him recently, petting him and singing to him in the car. "Twinkle, Twinkle little Star", is his favorite. They are so much fun.

Playing Hooky

So I told Tyler that on Friday we were going to play "Hooky". He wanted know "How do you play that game?" We took the whole crowd, which meant 4 strollers; and went to the zoo. What an adventure. Tyler was loving it. He and one of the zoo workers had a twenty minute conversation about puffins. He also loved the chimps. One of the old guys would sit by the glass and rock his blanket. The kids loved that. Arthur thought it was so cool that monkeys have blankies too. Reid was so happy just to ride in his stroller and see everything. He's such a big boy these days. We even had a picnic at the car where I discovered I'd forgotten all of Reid's diapers. So cinching him in one of Maylee's was hilarious, but effective. It was a long day, but alot of fun. I just don't know who was more tired the boys or me!
